Eleven miles northeast of Boerne, in the heart of the scenic, rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country, Cave Without a Name is a natural, living cavern. Some say the most beautiful in Texas.
The Cave is filled with spectacular formations of Stalactites, Stalagmites, delicate Soda Straws, Cave Drapery, magnificent Flowstones, Rimstone Dams, and more. Enjoy a tour of the six major rooms in comfort; 66 degrees year-round, easy walkways, brilliant lighting. Visit the photo gallery for a sneak preview, then plan an unforgettable adventure you will remember forever…
Cave Without a Name, a limestone solutional cave, is located 11 miles northeast of Boerne, Texas off FM 474 and Kreutzberg Road. The cave is less than 40 miles from downtown San Antonio. It has been commercially operated as a show cave and open for public tours since 1939. It is designated a National Natural Landmark and is a member of the National Cave Association. Descend 126 steps to approximately 80 feet below the surface where nature maintains a temperature of 66 degrees, year round. The complexity of formations makes the first visit and every subsequent visit an awakening experience of nature’s artwork. The Queen’s Throne Room hosts memorable events throughout the year (concerts, weddings, conferences, and more). Enhanced by the incredible natural dome acoustics and the splendid natural backdrop, the Queen’s Throne Room is a featured destination for an unforgettable experience.
Throne Room Music
Music in the Cave returns! The beautiful underground Throne Room easily accomodates an audience of 200. These indoor events will be held without social distancing. At this time, masks are required. If you have concerns with our protocols, we sadly suggest you not attend.
It is hoped that at some point, maybe soon, the mask requirement will change. When this happens, we will be delighted to integrate the news on this website and on our social media.
With a combination of dynamic acoustics and nature’s natural backdrop (too beautiful for words), both performers and guests declare concerts in the Cave Throne Room as most memorable. Check the event calendar for upcoming shows. Previous musical performances in the cave(link is external)..
